Fresh and tasty food made to order at a bargain price; if in the poughkeepsie area it is a must try.

This little hole in the walk is cute, but we had the tacos which were bla. Salty, flour tortillas, I prefer corn, and they had to make the pico de Gallo sauce which was too spicy. The service was ok, but it's a counter which is hard to mess up. At least there's seating outside, but it's right by the round about. Plus the people next to us were baking and no one at the restaurant was saying anything. I say give it a pass and go elsewhere.

I'd have to agree with a few other reviews, i.e., I'd like to see a little more meat and a little less lettuce in my burrito. But beyond that, I like the place for what it gives you. That starts with a freshly made, lightly toasted tortilla - that's something that just has a really good "mouth feel," and just try getting that type of tortilla at a fast food place or burrito chain. It's also made quickly, almost as quickly as if I'd been going down a burrito assembly line. The price is reasonable, and the staff are very friendly. I haven't had enough similar food at nearby independent Mexican establishments, but it's hands down mucho mejor than the "Live Mas" stuff.

I was not impressed. I went there because of The yelp reviews that mentioned the homemade tortillas and how great they were. My tacos were not made on fresh tortillas. The meat also tasted old and it had very little cheese on it. Overall, I think it is probably attractive to the college students nearby because it's quick and cheap but it's nothing near to the Mexican or TexMex food that are available in Texas.

Start with I ordered three ground beef tacos what I got was three tacos to go and they were 90% lettuce and 10% beef on the top! If I wanted a lettuce taco I would've ordered one. I would recommend if you want Tex-Mex food that you go to a Tex-Mex restaurant not an Asian restaurant masquerading as a Tex-Mex restaurant that likes to screw their customers and filler taco shells with lettuce!
